Create some wonderful projects to decorate your home during the winter season . This book also shows you how to use the same patterns with everyday fabrics for year-round home decor. An example of the lap quilt from the book done in two different fabrics shows how very different effects that can be achieved by changing the placement of some fabrics. The winter version appears to have a snowflake in the center of the quilt, while the everyday version looks more like fans. We have offered a versatile mix of new projects using this philosophy to increase your decorating and gift options. The mantle cover pattern does double duty as the pattern for window valances. A tree skirt becomes a table cover.

 

Another project we have designed is to make fabric Jumping Jacks which really do jump and which we have found appeal to young and old alike. Use red and white fabrics to make a charming Santa toy.(Here we used the red colorway of our Tannenbaum line.) By switching the fabrics to colorful prints, you can make a Jumping Clown to delight your favorite grandchild using the same basic pattern pieces. The possibilities are endless in choosing fabrics to make playmates for your children or unusual gifts for your quilting friends.
